I am Timothy, an Indonesian Master’s student in Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University, currently supported by the Chinese Government Scholarship. In addition to my academic endeavors, I serve as the team leader for Tianjin University’s International Student Ambassador team. Outside of my studies, I have gained recognition as a content creator, sharing insights into student life and promoting intercultural understanding. Having lived in Tianjin for over a year, I offer a unique perspective on the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. My content highlights Tianjin’s traditional crafts, local cuisine, and landmarks, while also showcasing the dynamic student experience at Tianjin University. I utilize platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and WeChat to collaborate with fellow creators and the university’s Publicity Department to produce engaging content. To date, I have created over 15 reels, 10 guides, and numerous vlogs covering topics such as campus life, Chinese traditions, festivals, and university events. My work is characterized by creativity, as I combine storytelling and dynamic visuals to connect with my audience. From celebrating Chinese festivals like the Crabapple Blossom Festival to documenting my daily life as an international student, my content resonates with prospective students and global viewers alike. By sharing practical insights and authentic experiences, I aim to inspire others to explore opportunities at Tianjin University and in China. Balancing a demanding academic schedule with content creation, I strive to demonstrate how international students can thrive in a global academic environment. My efforts not only promote Tianjin University as a hub of cultural and academic excellence but also foster deeper connections between diverse communities.
