Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Binhai Civil Engineering Structure and Security at Tianjin University was established on the basis of Tianjin civil engineering structure and new materials key laboratory which was one of the key laboratories of Project 211 and 985 of Tianjin University. It started to be built after the approval of education ministry in October, 2009 and officially opened to the outside world in January, 2014
Founded in 2010,this Laboratory, based on the Mechanical Design and Theory Discipline of Tianjin University—a State Key discipline and Mechanical Engineering Discipline—a level 1 discipline, international discipline frontier-oriented, focusing on the national and regional industrial development strategic demands such as manufacturing equipment, energy equipment, aerospace and marine engineering, is aimed at designing equipment independently.
The Laboratory was established in January 2012. From energy collection, transfer and transformation, and all aspects of the application, the Laboratory studies the scientific problems in the efficient utilization process of medium and low temperature thermal energy, providing scientific basis and new technological ways of settling the problems of efficiency, environment, economic costs, etc. in the energy transfer and transformation process.
Founded in 1986, the laboratory is the only State Key Laboratory on engine research. Its faculty consists of top scientists and professors from different backgrounds. The laboratory, with advanced facilities and instruments, has now developed into an influential base for high-level education and a center of international academic exchange in the field of internal combustion engine.
Co-founded by TJU and Tsinghua in 1995, the laboratory integrates the strengths of both universities in the field of precision testing and instrument. The laboratory focuses on the key technologies of precision testing and instrument, aiming at facilitating national economic development and state key projects. Its research areas include laser and electronic testing techniques, precision measurement, intelligent instruments, and nano- testing
The laboratory is engaged in the fundamental research on chemical engineering of interest to chemical, petroleum refining, gas processing, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological industries. The main research areas include gas-liquid transport processes and distillation, industrial crystallization and particle engineering, membrane process and seawater desalination, advanced catalytic materials and energy resource development, high-pressure
