Lecture Introduction

Bangkok is presented through the 4 academic-research projects applying the Living Lab approach, the co-creation of university and community, and the researchers, students and local people. Unlike traditional laboratories that operate in controlled settings, Living Labs are located in actual communities, cities, or neighborhoods. This allows new ideas and technologies to be developed in everyday settings, making them more practical and relevant.

Living Labs bring together user-centered design, open innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. They act as platforms for learning and innovation, where the university and community share knowledge and work together to solve real problems. A key idea in this approach is co-creation, where local people help shape the solutions, not just receive them.
