Professor Peng Yigang was a pioneering figure in the Chinese architectural community. His academic thought, design practice, and educational ethos have profoundly inspired and influenced generations of architects. Three years after his passing, as The Complete Works of Peng Yigang goes to press and a bronze statue in his honor is unveiled, we warmly invite colleagues from across China’s architectural field to gather at Tianjin University. Together, we will pay tribute to his scholarly integrity, celebrate his academic legacy, and witness the establishment of the Center for Engineering-integrated Architecture—a dedicated initiative to inherit his educational vision, systematically explore innovative pathways for architecture in the new era, sustain the tradition of architectural education at Tianjin University, and cultivate future talents who integrate engineering excellence with humanistic spirit.
