Luo Qing Receives "Special Contribution Award for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education"

On the 10th Anniversary Award Ceremony of Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education held in Shanghai, professor Luo Qing, vice dean of the College of Management and Economics (CoME) at Tianjin University (TJU), received the "Special Contribution Award for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education".

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education. To commemorate this important milestone and to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of Sino-Foreign cooperative education, the conference held a selection process for the "2024 Outstanding Individual Award of the Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education" in the first half of the year. After recommendations from various units and the Secretariat, then deliberation by the Presidium, it was finally decided to award the "Special Contribution Award for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education" to professor Luo Qing, vice dean of the College of Management and Economics (CoME) at Tianjin University (TJU).

From October 10 to 12, 2024, the tenth meeting of the Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education took place in Shanghai. This meeting is guided by the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education, hosted by the Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education, and organized by the University of Michigan –Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute, with the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology and the USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry as co-organizers. The conference discussed new ideas for the high-quality development of Sino-Foreign cooperative education under the national strategy for education and science, in order to deepen the openness of education with greater strength and innovative measures. Ding Kuiling, president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jia Peng, deputy director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education, and Ye Linlin, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, attended the meeting and gave speeches. Zhao Yanzhi, president of Shenyang University and chairman of the Conference, presented the work report. Over 400 relevant participants from 205 Sino-Foreign cooperative education institutions and projects across the country attended the conference.

On the afternoon of October 11, the award ceremony for the tenth anniversary of the Joint Conference on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education was successfully held. Wang Qing, party secretary of Ludong University, as a representative of the award winners, delivered a speech. Meng Tao, dean of the International Business School at Northeast Financial University and secretary-general of the Conference, hosted the ceremony.

Since its establishment in 2014, the Joint Conference has been committed to uniting the strengths of Sino-Foreign cooperative education institutions and promoting the high-quality development of Sino-Foreign cooperative education in higher education. Over the past ten years, the Conference has not only witnessed the vigorous development of Sino-Foreign cooperative education but has also achieved significant results in expanding positive publicity, building communication platforms, performing think tank roles, and leading high-quality development.
