As Tianjin University approaches its 130th anniversary and the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology celebrates its 25th anniversary, the school officially inaugurated its history museum on February 1, 2025.
Established in 2000, the school has been a pioneer in Tianjin University’s international education reforms. In 2014, it was among the first four institutions selected for the “International Demonstration College Promotion Plan” by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the Ministry of Education. In 2015, it launched China's first fully English-integrated undergraduate-to-doctoral pharmacy education system. Over the years, the school has developed a comprehensive internationalized education model, excelling in governance, faculty development, talent cultivation, research, and academic environment.
The museum embodies the motto “Proficient in Medicine, Excellent in Research.” It features sections on the school’s history, organizational structure, faculty, research platforms, academic achievements, talent development, international collaborations, social services, and distinguished alumni. Through multimedia exhibits, historical artifacts, and illustrated panels, the museum showcases the school’s journey from its inception to its current global standing, highlighting key achievements and fostering its distinct academic and cultural identity.
As a milestone in cultural heritage preservation, the history museum serves as a vital platform for strengthening faculty and student engagement, fostering alumni connections, and showcasing the school’s contributions to global pharmaceutical education. Moving forward, the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology will continue to enhance its cultural development initiatives, uphold its commitment to excellence, and contribute to building a world-class university rooted in China while offering innovative solutions to global pharmaceutical education challenges.
