Tianjin University and Xining Government Sign Agreement for Innovation Base

On January 14, Tianjin University and the Xining Municipal Government held a signing ceremony at the Peiyangyuan Campus to officially establish a partnership for the creation of a world-class Salt Lake Industry Innovation Base. The agreement was signed by Hu Wenping, a member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Tianjin University, and Jiang Xiaodong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Xining Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Xining.

Hu Wenping expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support from Xining for the university's development. He provided an overview of Tianjin University’s history and current development, highlighting the university’s strong commitment to its participation in the Salt Lake Industry Innovation Base project. He emphasized that the university, with its research and talent advantages, is well-positioned to complement and empower the efforts of both parties. Tianjin University aims to leverage its strengths to contribute significantly to the development of the world-class Salt Lake Industry Innovation Base.

Jiang Xiaodong thanked Tianjin University for its warm reception and recognized the university’s rich history in cultivating outstanding talents for the nation, making significant contributions to the development of China's education sector. He stressed the importance of focusing on the salt lake-related industries as a key area of collaboration. He called for the integration of research and talent resources, as well as the expansion of cooperation space, to promote collaborative innovation. Both sides are committed to advancing the research and application of key technologies for the salt lake industry and continually enhancing the development of the innovation base.

The signing of this agreement marks a significant step in deepening the strategic cooperation between Tianjin University and Qinghai Province. Moving forward, the two sides will work together in areas such as resource sharing, research collaboration, technological achievements transformation, talent development, and internship opportunities.
