On January 7th, Yang Xianjin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Tianjin University, visited China National Resources Recycling Group for a research tour. During the visit, Yang held a work meeting with Liu Yu, CPC Secretary and Chairman of the group, and Zhu Jianchun, CPC Deputy Secretary and General Manager, to discuss deepening school-enterprise cooperation. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including technological innovation, industrial collaboration, and talent cultivation.
Liu Yu warmly welcomed Yang and his delegation. He highlighted that Tianjin University has played a pioneering role in modern higher education in China, nurturing numerous high-level talents for the nation and society. The university has been at the forefront of implementing national strategies, serving the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and promoting technological innovation. Liu noted that China National Resources Recycling Group is a central enterprise, shoulders significant responsibilities, including ensuring resource security, leading industrial development, and contributing to the construction of a beautiful China. He expressed hope that both parties would establish a regular communication mechanism to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, technological innovation, and platform construction. The goal is to create a demonstration zone for the integration of industry and education, promoting high-quality development of the resource recycling industry and ensuring national resource security.
Zhu Jianchun provided a detailed introduction to the company, focusing on its formation, strategic planning, and headquarters development.
Yang Xianjin expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and shared an overview of the university's recent developments in discipline construction, technological innovation, and talent cultivation, especially in the field of resource recycling. He emphasized that China National Resources Recycling Group is a new force in the country’s green transformation and economic development, and a valuable partner for Tianjin University. Yang stated that there is significant potential for cooperation between the two sides in serving national strategies, advancing technological and industrial innovation, and fostering talent. Tianjin University will leverage its research and talent advantages to strengthen all-round cooperation with China Resources Recycling and contribute to the development of the resource recycling industry and talent cultivation.
During the meeting, both parties also exchanged opinions on joint efforts in platform co-construction, talent cultivation, and resource sharing. They reached several key agreements on conducting high-level, multi-tiered school-enterprise collaboration to empower each other.
