Beihang University Delegation Visits Tianjin University

Recently, Cao Shumin, secretary of the Party committee of Beihang University (BUAA), together with Wang Yunpeng, BUAA’s vice principal, visited Tianjin University.

Li Jiajun, secretary of Party of TJU, greeted the guests at TJU’s Weijin Road Campus and held a discussion meeting. Also Present at the meeting were Zhao Meirong, deputy secretary of Party committee of TJU, and counterparts from relevant departments of both universities.

Zhao introduced the comprehensive situation of TJU at the meeting. Faculty members from the scientific research groups of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology and the School of Mechanical Engineering reported development of synthetic biology laboratory and minimally invasive surgery robot laboratory respectively.

Li extended his welcome to the arrival of Cao’s party, hoping that the two universities could draw strength from each other’s philosophy of university construction and characteristic management, and strengthen exchange and cooperation on discipline construction and team building. Cao said that TJU, as the first modern university in China, blazed a trail in domestic modern higher education, and she hoped that abundant achievements could be yielded through the deep collaboration in view of the strong and time-honored bond of two universities.

Cao and her party visited the museum of school history and the exhibition hall of the Institute of Medical Engineering.
