On October 30th, the School of Civil Engineering held a training seminar on archiving in Room C501, Building 43. Ms. Wang Wei, executive deputy secretary of the School, hosted this seminar and Mr. Zhang Zhenxing, deputy director of the University Archives, delivered a lecture. Staff from the school’s Administrative Office, Student Affairs Office, and the Continuing Education Center participated the seminar.
Mr. Zhang Zhenxing gave a general introduction to the University’s archival work, including the archive content and retention period of each department, how to archive and the filing requirements of documents and materials for schools. He talked about the standardized sorting requirements of filing documents with specific examples, and gave an overall and comprehensive introduction of the University’s archival management content. Later, Zheng Peng, director of the Collection and Guidance Department, and Zhou Wenhuan,archivist, attended the Q & A session.
Ms. Wang Wei concluded the training seminar, saying that the archival work influenced the school in various aspects, and guaranteed the healthy and rapid development of the School. She expressed the hope that the training would help boost the school’s archival work by making it standardized and based on scientific rules.
