In the 13th Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition (2020), the entry "Urban Memory—Shanghai Blackstone Apartments Interior Design" from Tianjin University’s School of Architecture won the second prize in the provincial competition held online on June 27, out of 30,000 pieces of works, and the first prize in the final national round against 4645 competitors on August 14.
The first prize certificate
As its name indicates, the entry is about the "Bar +" composite format interior design for the historical building-Blackstone Apartments in Shanghai. The composite format includes bars, exhibition galleries and antique clubs. The design successfully reaches a balance among the needs to mine the urban space inventory, to protect and innovate the use of excellent historical buildings, and to improve the vitality of the community.
The design effects
The Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition is among the ranking list of discipline competitions in national colleges and Universities. Hosted by the Organizing Committee of Chinese Collegiate Computing Competition, the competition was initiated in 2008 and 58 competitions have been held for 12 sessions. More than half of the universities in mainland China, more than half of the original 211 universities, and more than half of the original 985 universities have participated in this competition.
