SCET Hosts On-line Training Workshops with Natural Research Academies

On Sep. 29 and 30, the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology (SCET) invited Dr. Jeffrey Robens, Editorial Development Manager of Springer Nature, to deliver "Natural Research Academiestraining workshops"to its teachers and students. As part of the school’s effort to celebrate Tianjin University’s 125th anniversary, the workshops aimed to help faculty and students to effectively summarize their research results and communicate them clearly to have impact in the field. More than 200 teachers and students participated in the training.

Dr. Jeffrey Robens, as the Editorial Development Manager at Nature Research is responsible for conducting the Nature Research Academies training workshops to improve publication output worldwide. He has strong scientific qualifications with 20 years of academic experience and numerous publications and awards. Since 2012, he has conducted over 300 academic training workshops worldwide to help researchers improve their publication quality and impact.

During the workshops, Dr. Robens talked about Effective Academic Writing, Logical Manuscript Structure, and Maximizing Discoverability, emphasizing the logic and feasibility analysis of thesis writing.

“We hope that the workshops can help our researchers learn the important matters for publication and check their papers from the perspectives of editors and reviewers so that their research results will stand a better chance of being published and read by others in the research field.,” said one of the workshop organizers from SCET.
