During the two sessions, Mr. Li Jiajun, a deputy to the National People's Congress and Secretary of the Party Committee of Tianjin University, suggested that we should accelerate the training of high-level talents to provide strong support for intelligent manufacturing.
"Tianjin has made a layout and practical measures in intelligent manufacturing, giving full support to Tianjin University and Nankai University." Said Party Secretary Li Jiajun. He added that with the deepening of Tianjin University's development of emerging engineering education, Tianjin University launched the first university-level guidance platform for future intelligent machines and systems, and started to design multiple emerging engineering education talent training platforms such as future intelligent machines & systems platform, future intelligent chemical & green energy platform, and future environment & architecture platform.
"With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, it is predicted that 800 million to 1 billion jobs in the world will be replaced by artificial intelligence in the future. Our talent training should adapt to this trend. " Said Li.
Li Jiajun suggested building a compound training system. He suggested that we should conduct high-level research to support top-notch talent training. Interdisciplinary supervisor team should be built with key talents from different fields. In the design of talent training process, we should organize interdisciplinary system and improve the design of academic training and practice training led by interdisciplinary special research programs. In quality management, we should establish an interdisciplinary degree evaluation committee. And in the reform of resource allocation, we should guide relevant disciplines to have in-depth integration and collaborative innovation and form post-incentive mode to gain the investment of resources through making major interdisciplinary achievements.
