Free Internet Access for Students on Campus During the Epidemic

Tianjin University provides free internet access to all students on campus until the end of the COVID-19 epidemic in Tianjin. This will provide convenience for students to have online courses, online thesis defense and graduation procedures.

On May 6, Tianjin University welcomed students in the Class of 2020 back to campus.

For student assessment, Tianjin University adopts a variety of methods with combination of formative assessment and outcome assessment and will organize online assessment for the students of the Class of 2020. Offline examination will be organized when necessary. In classrooms, the seats will be spaced at least a meter apart, with the fixed seat numbers posted. And the seating plan is posted outside each classroom. The thesis defense and graduation procedures will be carried out according to the school calendar. For those schools and departments who are qualified to conduct on-site defense, the defense will be conducted separately and in batches. Those who are not qualified for the on-site defense will carry on online defense.
