School of Mechanical Engineering to Build Three National First-class Undergraduate Programs

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the 2019 list of "Double Ten Thousand Plan" (to build ten thousand national first-class undergraduate programs and ten thousand provincial first-class undergraduate programs), 19 programs of Tianjin University have been approved as national first-class ones, among which three programs namely Engineering Mechanics, Machine Design Manufacture and Automation, Energy and Power Engineering are from the School of Mechanical Engineering.

Since April 2019, the Ministry of Education has implemented the "Double Ten Thousand Plan” to build first-class undergraduate programs. The 2019 list names the first batch of such programs, identifying a total of 4,054 state-level first-class undergraduate programs.

“We will seize the opportunity to build qualified national first-class programs by deepening reform and constantly improving academic and teaching quality,” an official from the School of Mechanical Engineering said.
