Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei English Teaching Seminar Held

A Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei English Teaching Seminar was held on July 6 and 7 in Tianjin by the Postgraduate English Teaching Research Branch of Beijing Association of Higher Education.

The theme of the seminar was modern education technology application and postgraduate English teaching discussion--micro-lecture and MOOC. Representatives from many higher institutions in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei province participated in the seminar and shared their teaching experience and scientific research achievements. Chen Dazhong, the deputy dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, and Xiao Zhenfeng, the vice director of the Department of Foreign English Teaching for Postgraduate Students attended this seminar on behalf of Tianjin University. During the meeting, Ms. Xiao introduced the English course system of “classified cultivation, classified evaluation” for postgraduate students and online evaluation at TJU. She shared some reform and innovation experience of English teaching for postgraduate students including teaching goals, content, method and evaluation so as to improve students’ practical English abilities and the quality of postgraduate English teaching.

Teachers from more than 20 higher institutions including Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and China University of Political Science and Law attended the seminar.
