School of Microelectronics Holds PhD Student Forum

On October 27, 2019, School of Microelectronics held a PhD student forum. As the sub-forum of Tianjin University PhD Student Academic Forums, this forum was hosted by the Graduate School of Tianjin University, organized by the School of Microelectronics, Tianjin Key Laboratory of Imaging and Sensing Microelectronics Technology, and directed by TianjinIntegrated CircuitIndustry Association.

More than 50 doctoral students and 60 postgraduates from Peking University, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tianjin University attended the forum, and 27 doctoral students gave oral presentations.

There were also six keynote speeches, the "Research Progress of Artificial Intelligence Vision System Chip" by Research Fellow Wu Nanjian of Chinese Academy of Sciences, "Current Application and Prospects of Nitride Semiconductors in 5G Communication" by Research Fellow Zhang Yun of Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, "Reverberation Chamber Air Port Measurement Technology" by Professor Chen Xiaoming of Xi'an Jiaotong University, "Field-Circuit Fusion Terahertz Chip" by Professor Hu Sanming of Southeast University, "Design and Implementation of 4H-SiC VDMOSFET Devices with High Threshold Voltage Stability" by Associate Professor Zhang Yimeng of Xidian University, and" Digital Retina and Smart Chip Design" by Dr. Li Yuan of Peking Un

Twelve doctoral students were awarded for their academic research presented to the experts.

Professor Ren Changming of the Supervision and Steering Group spoke highly of this PhD student forum and encouraged doctoral students to further strengthen the exchanges, be brave in innovation and pursue excellence.

Ma Kaixue, Dean of the School of Microelectronics said in his a concluding speech that this forum had fulfilled its aim to promote academic exchanges, broaden students’ research horizons and facilitate the cross-integration between different schools and disciplines.
