Tianjin University Presents Special Gifts to 2020 Spring Graduates

On November 29, Tianjin University presented a special graduation gift – a pair of commemorative chopsticks with the logo of Tianjin University and Tianjin University elements, to the 2020 spring graduates from 12 schools.

Chopsticks are the longest and most widely used cutlery in China. The chopsticks that we use every day for meals are seemingly bland, but actually contain rich connotations. They have always been regarded as a mascot, but also carry the love of the alma mater for students. The chopsticks given to the graduates are expected to carry forward the fine tradition of the Chinese nation no matter how far they go; to keep the excellent quality of "being upright" like these straight chopsticks; and to find good jobs like the useful and wonderful chopsticks, making great achievements in their respective industries while remembering their original convictions and mission.

In addition, the Alumni Association of the University has established the operating mechanism for the class liaisons. Class alumni liaisons are recommended by the schools. Each graduating class recommends 1-2 class liaisons. In the spring of 2020, more than 100 class alumni liaisons for the graduates have been employed.
