From November 16-17, 2019, the Seminar on the Construction and Development of Demonstrative Microelectronics Schools was successfully held at Tianjin University. The seminar was directed by the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Department, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Electronic Information Department, and the Demonstrative Microelectronics Schools Construction Expert Group, hosted by the Demonstrative Microelectronics Schools Industry-University Integration Development Alliance, organized by the School of Microelectronics at Tianjin University, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the Tianjin Integrated Circuit Design Center, and supported by well-known industry enterprises.
Nearly one thousand people attended the seminar including representatives from the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Department, theDemonstrative Microelectronics Schools Industry-University Integration Development Alliance, 28Demonstrative Microelectronics Schools, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the International Semiconductor Industry Association, the Tianjin Integrated Circuit Industry Association and related companies.
Li Jiajun, Party Secretary of Tianjin University, Gao Dongfeng, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Qu Xiaojie, Director of the Integrated Circuits Division of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Wang Tianhong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Institute of Electronics attended the opening ceremony and addressed speeches.
Yan Xiaolang, the leader of theDemonstrative Microelectronics Schools Construction Expert Groupand the secretary-general of the Industry-University Integration Development Alliance, delivered a report to the plenary entitled "Building aDemonstrativeMicroelectronicsSchoolinto a Pioneer in the Construction of New Engineering".
The International Semiconductor Industry Association and companies such as Zhilian Recruitment and Moore Elite reported on school-enterprise union and collaborative education.
The directors of 28 demonstrative microelectronic schools talked about talent cultivation, faculty training, integration of industry and education, collaborative innovation, and development planning. Group discussions directed at the construction of demonstrative microelectronic schools were also conducted.
The Chinese Institute of Electronics Tianjin University Workstation was unveiled during the seminar.
