2nd Peiyang International First Aid and Disaster Medical Forum and Rescue Protection Training

On September 21, 2019, the 2nd Peiyang International First Aid and Disaster Medical Forum and Rescue Protection Training Course convened in Tianjin.

At the opening ceremony, five additional formalities were also held including; the licensing ceremony of Tianjin Health Emergency Training and Exercise Base was held.

The University Alliance for Rescue Medicine was unveiled. Led by Tianjin University, the alliance was formed by 46 “double world-class” universities. It will become an important force for knowledge discovery and technological innovation and an important base for outstanding talents.

During the event, the Asia Pacific Division of the American Journal of Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparation was established.

The Sino-French teaching and research cooperation framework agreement between the Center for Emergency Medicine of Descartes University in Paris and the Academy of Disaster Medicine of Tianjin University was signed.

Additionally, the new book of “Advanced Course of Chinese Disaster Medicine" was launched. This tutorial was completed by the Dean of Hou Shike of the Academy of Disaster Medicine, Tianjin University, and has received strong support and technical guidance from more than 100 experts in the country.

After the opening ceremony, domestic and foreign experts conducted 16 keynote speeches on artificial intelligence and medical rescue, aviation medical rescue, marine rescue, foreign disaster medical system, and rescue standardization system research.

The forum conforms to the development trend of national emergency management in the new era. It aims to consolidate the theory and technology of disaster medicine for medical staff, strengthen the awareness of emergency prevention, enhance the ability of emergency response on site, and minimize casualties on disaster site. Through the development of high-level international academic exchanges and cooperation, it will play an active role in promoting the construction of disaster science in China and intensely participate in the reshaping of medical capacity after the reform of national emergency management institutions.
