On June 13, Tianjin University’s Binhai Industrial Research Institute business incubator commemorated its official operational status during the opening ceremony of the 2019 Tianjin Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week with a plaque. Plaques for a total of seven science and technology incubators at the Tianjin Port Bonded Area were awarded.
The Tianjin University Binhai Industrial Research Institute “Lingang Huichuang Incubator” is operated by the TJU Binhai Industrial Research Institute which is a key incubation base of Tianjin University’s Entrepreneurship Project. Relying on the superior science and technology resources of Tianjin University, following the concept of promoting technology entrepreneurship through technological innovation, the Institute actively builds an integrated and full-chain incubation system of "mass innovation space-incubator-accelerator-industrial park". Now the business incubation space has an area of 6000 square meters, serving for innovative start-ups, offering activity venues, office facilities, as well as services of inspection and testing, fiscal and taxation accounting, laws and policies, education and training, management and consulting, and finance to the enterprises incubated in order to cultivate a group of technology-based enterprises. More than 40 technology companies have been incubated, with a total registered capital of 134.41 million yuan. For the second consecutive year, the total output value of enterprises has exceeded 100 million yuan.
