Professor Ming Dong Wins Translational Medicine Innovation Award

Professor Ming Dong, Executive Director of Medical College of Tianjin University and Dean of Academy of Medical Engineering and Translational Medicine, won a “Translational Medicine Innovation Award”.

On May 11, the Alliance of National Infrastructures for Translational Medicine Conference was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. More than 200 academicians and experts from the biomedical field across the country attended the event. The conference awarded experts, clinicians and researchers who have made outstanding contributions to translational medicine research or achieved breakthrough innovative achievements.

The Translational Medicine Award session was launched in June 2018. After the initial review, evaluation, re-evaluation and public notification, two persons were awarded the “Translational Medicine Outstanding Contribution Award” and five persons were awarded the “Translational Medicine Innovation Award”.

The Translational Medicine Awards are held once a year to present the “Translational Medicine Outstanding Contribution Award” and “Translational Medicine Innovation Award”. These are the first and only awards in the field of translational medicine in China.
