Pharmacology and Toxicology of TJU Enters World’s Top 1% in ESI Rankings

According to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database released on January 12, 2018, Tianjin University (TJU ) is among the world's top 1 percent in Pharmacology and Toxicology which is the eighth TJU discipline entering the top 1% of the ESI rankings.

ESI, launched by American Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), is an academic information publication agency, which explores emerging science trends as well as influential individuals, institutions, papers, journals, and countries in 22 specific fields of research. This unique and comprehensive compilation of science performance statistics and science trends data is based on journal article publication counts and citation data from the Web of Science.

At present, TJU has eight disciplinary fields entering ESI ranking lists. They are Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Physics, Biology and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Pharmacology and Toxicology. Among them, Engineering, Materials Science, and Chemistry rate among ESI global disciplines top 0.1%, with TJU’s Materials Science ranking 71st in the world, and its Engineering entering the list of the top 50.
