TJU Dragon Boat Team Wins 2018 World Famous University Dragon Boat Race

From June 7 to 11, the Tianjin University (TJU) Dragon Boat Team went to Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province to participate in the 2018 World Famous University Dragon Boat Race. Tianjin University competed with more than 20 famous universities at home and abroad, and won the championship in the men’s 2000-meter circle contest, second place in the 200-meter and fourth place in the 500-meter sprints.

This competition was hosted by the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), the Sports Bureau of Shaanxi Province and the Weinan Government. The participating teams came from well-known domestic and overseas universities, which included the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Southern California, National University of Singapore, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Wuhan University and Tianjin University among others.
