Promoting "New Business" on an International Scale

New Business refers to developing trends of business management in the new era to cope with unprecedented technological, social and economic challenges. How to promote New Business on an international level? How can New Business theories be used to cultivate international students? Based on the above questions, experts from the College of Management and Economics (CoME) and the School of International Education convened on March 13 to discuss how the New Business model can integrate with international education. Three topics were discussed during the meeting, how to build the Confucius Institute Council of the University of Nice in France, ways to bolster international student recruitment and cultivation, and the future plan of education internationalization of Tianjin University against the background of the national strategy.

Zhi-hua Chen, Dean of the School of International Education introduced TJU’s construction of Confucius Institutes in several countries, especially the remarkable achievements the Confucius Institute at Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in France has made in recent years. Chen said that he hopes to further strengthen the communication and cooperation with CoME and strive to build a Confucius Institute with the characteristics of CoME in the future.

Bao-feng Huo, Dean of the CoME presented the international strategic deployment of CoME. He agreed that CoME and the School of International Education should cooperate more on the recruitment and training of international students.
