As an important component in the Made in China 2025 strategy and to coordinate the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in Binhai New Area of Tianjin, the Sino-Euro Advanced Industrial Park is under construction. Recently in an interview, Li Jiajun, the Party Secretary of Tianjin University (TJU) revealed that the Research Institute of Sino-Euro Intelligent Manufacturing co-constructed by TJU and the Binhai New Area was about to officially open for business.
Located in Tianjin University the Binhai Industrial Research Institute, the Research Institute of Sino-Euro Intelligent Manufacturing plans to develop four sections:a Technology R&D Center; a Training Base for Equipment Manufacturing talent; a Public Service Platform; and an International Incubation Base. The Institute aims to become a world-class international research institution in its field and to lead the development of high-end equipment manufacturing and new types of industry. Li Jiajun said: “The Research Institute of Sino-Euro Intelligent Manufacturing not only docks the ‘Germany Industrial 4.0’ and follows the development trend of global intelligent manufacturing industry, but also plays a crucial role in implementing the strategy of Made in China 2025 and serving China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative as well as the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.”
