On March 17, a delegation led by Ochirkhuyag, President of the National University of Mongolia, visited Tianjin University. Yang Xianjin, Party Secretary of Tianjin University, met with the guests at the Peiyangyuan Campus.

Yang Xianjin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefed them on Tianjin University’s history, disciplinary strengths, international education, and ongoing efforts to implement the important reply letter from the General Secretary to all faculty members and students on the occasion of the university's 130th anniversary. He expressed his hope that the two universities would further enhance exchanges, deepen mutual understanding, and forge results-oriented cooperation in more fields, at a deeper level and with higher standards, so as to contribute to the building of a China-Mongolia community with a shared future.
Ochirkhuyag sincerely thanked Tianjin University for the hospitality and introduced the National University of Mongolia’s development history, remarkable contributions, campus distribution, and faculty and student profiles. He noted that the cooperation between the two universities in the field of civil engineering marked a good beginning, and pointed out Mongolia's demand for high-level engineering talents. He expressed anticipation for expanding cooperation in more disciplinary areas, enhancing student and faculty exchange programs, and conducting in-depth collaboration in scientific research.
During the visit, Vice President Ming Dong, on behalf of Tianjin University, signed a cooperation agreement with the National University of Mongolia. A bilateral cooperation seminar was also held.


Participants in the meeting and seminar included: Liu Peng (Secretary-General of the China-Mongolia Research Center), Chen Zhihua (Vice President of Tianjin Chengjian University), Zhao Diangang (Chairman of Tianjin Jinwanfang Steel Structure Co., Ltd.), along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation, School of Civil Engineering, School of International Education, School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and Tianjin University Research Institute of Architectural Design and Urban Planning Co., Ltd.
Founded in 1942, the National University of Mongolia is the oldest and largest comprehensive institution of higher education in Mongolia, known as the cradle of modern higher education in Mongolia. As a core research base in Mongolia, the university has made outstanding achievements in engineering technology, ecological environment, energy development and other fields.
