On January 24, Tianjin University hosted a “World Champion Open Class” featuring Wang Lili, national champion and assistant coach of China’s 3×3 women’s basketball team. The event was held at the gymnasium on the university’s campus and attracted student athletes and basketball enthusiasts.

During the session, Wang Lili shared her professional experience and training insights, focusing on the differences between 3×3 and 5×5 basketball, competition mindset, and athlete self-management. She emphasized the importance of systematic warm-up routines, mental focus under pressure, and long-term dedication to both academic study and athletic training.

The open class also included on-site skill demonstrations and interactive drills. Under Wang’s guidance, students practiced core techniques and applied them in group play, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of competitive basketball. Participants said the class strengthened their confidence and motivation to pursue continuous improvement in sport.
The event formed part of Tianjin University’s ongoing efforts to promote campus sports culture and integrate high-level athletic resources into student development.
