Tianjin University Professor Clinches WTT Doha Women’s Singles Title

On January 11, 2026, at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Tournament in Doha, Qatar, Zhu Yuling, a vice professor at Tianjin University and elite international athlete, captured the women’s singles championship, defeating her opponent Chen Xingtong by a score of 4–2.

In a dramatic final played late Beijing time, ZHU overcame an early 1–2 deficit to win three consecutive games, demonstrating exceptional resilience and tactical adjustment under pressure.

Back on campus, nearly 100 students gathered to watch a live broadcast of the match, cheering enthusiastically as ZHU secured the title. School leaders and students lauded her achievement as a source of pride and inspiration, noting her embodiment of perseverance and competitive spirit.
