2024 Student Science Prize Winners Announced

On November 23, the final review of the 24th “Student Science Prize” was successfully held at Tianjin University’s Peiyangyuan Campus. After presentations and expert interviews, three undergraduates and seven postgraduate students stood out and received the award, often regarded as the university’s “Student Nobel Prize.”

Aligned with the university’s commitment to national strategic needs and talent development, the selection highlighted candidates’ innovative research, technological practice, and contributions to societal progress.

During the final review, 14 candidates presented their research achievements. Their work spanned areas such as new energy technology, artificial intelligence, and high-level sci-tech competitions, demonstrating strong academic capability and a creative mindset.

The judging panel, including Professor Li Dachao, Executive Dean of the National Elite Institute of Engineers and a former prize recipient, evaluated candidates based on academic excellence, innovation, and practical impact.

Vice Party Secretary Han Qinghua addressed the ceremony, encouraging awardees to strengthen their ideals, enhance their skills, and inspire more students to contribute to the nation through science and technology.

The “Student Science Prize,” now in its 24th edition, remains the highest student research honor at Tianjin University, promoting a campus culture of scientific exploration and innovation.
