Tianjin University participated in the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference held from November 14 to 16 at the China National Convention Center, presenting its latest work at the intersection of engineering education and international Chinese language teaching.

The conference, themed “Innovation-Driven, Digitally Empowered: Making Chinese Accessible to All,” brought together government officials, university leaders and experts from more than 160 countries and regions to discuss new directions for the global development of Chinese language education. Tianjin University President Chai Liyuan and Vice President Ming Dong attended the conference.
During the event, Vice President Ming Dong delivered a keynote speech at a parallel forum, where he shared Tianjin University’s practical experience in cultivating Chinese-proficient talent for international contexts. He introduced the university’s “Emerging Engineering Innovated International Chinese Education” model, which integrates engineering disciplines with systematic Chinese language and cultural training. This approach emphasizes application-oriented learning and aims to prepare professionals equipped with both technical expertise and strong cross-cultural communication skills.

Tianjin University also showcased its achievements at the China International Education Exchange Exhibition, highlighting its expanding contributions to global language education services. At the HSK Global Partners Meeting, the university received two honors, Outstanding HSK Test Center and Best Partner for International Study in China Cooperation, in recognition of its work in standardized language assessment, international student support and collaborative educational programs.
The university’s participation underscored Tianjin University’s commitment to advancing high-quality international Chinese education and strengthening its role in global academic exchange through innovative, interdisciplinary practices.
