On October 24, a delegation from Australian National University (ANU), led by Professor Antony Hosking, Director of the School of Computing, and Professor Siva Karuturi, Associate Director (International) of the School of Engineering, visited Tianjin University. Professor Huang Hui, Assistant to the President and Dean of the Fuzhou International Joint Institute, received the delegation, joined by representatives from relevant schools and offices.

During the meeting, Professor Huang introduced Tianjin University’s recent development and the strategic progress of its Fuzhou campus. He highlighted shared priorities in advancing cooperation on talent cultivation, research innovation, and international engagement.
Professor Hosking conveyed ANU’s appreciation for the hospitality extended and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to advancing collaboration with Tianjin University. The two sides exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation and agreed to strengthen communication to foster substantive progress.
The delegation also visited laboratories of the School of Life Sciences to learn about Tianjin University’s research platforms and innovation capabilities.
This visit further strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for expanding collaboration between Tianjin University and Australian National University, particularly at the Fuzhou campus.
