École Polytechnique de Nice Delegation Visits Tianjin University

Vice-President Benoît Miramond of École Polytechnique de NICE and his delegation visited Tianjin University on October 16. President Chai Liyuan and senior leaders welcomed the guests and reviewed the close cooperation between the two institutions.

Miramond expressed gratitude for the warm reception and extended congratulations on Tianjin University’s 130th anniversary. He noted the strong foundation of the partnership and emphasized a shared commitment to deepening collaboration in artificial intelligence, electronic information and other frontier disciplines.

During the visit, the two sides held discussions on joint talent cultivation, industry–academia integration and the innovation of international engineering education models.

The Nice institution, founded in 2005 and part of the University of the Côte d’Azur, is a member of the GEIPI-Polytech network. Tianjin University’s International Engineering Institute, established in collaboration with this French partner, draws on the French engineering education model to develop a first-class, open, international and innovation-driven engineering talent-training platform aligned with China’s development needs.
