Strengthening Ties: University of Bristol Visits Tianjin University

On the occasion of Tianjin University’s 130th anniversary, Professor Charl FJ Faul, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bristol, visited Tianjin University and met with Vice President Ming Dong at the Peiyangyuan Campus.

Ming Dong welcomed Professor Faul’s visit and acknowledged the enduring partnership between Tianjin University and the University of Bristol. He noted that the University of Bristol is one of Tianjin University’s key strategic partners, with the 3+1 dual-degree program jointly run by the two universities yielding notable results and earning strong recognition among students. This year, the partnership has also expanded into the field of business education. Ming Dong emphasized that Tianjin University looks forward to further strengthening cooperation in joint talent cultivation and scientific research, elevating the partnership to new heights and fostering broader global impact.

Professor Faul congratulated Tianjin University on its 130th anniversary and commended its accomplishments in education and research. Noting that this marked his third visit to Tianjin University this year, he highlighted the rapid progress made in bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that the partnership will continue to deepen. He added that both institutions should broaden avenues for exchange, strengthen collaboration across diverse disciplines, and work together to forge a more robust and enduring partnership.
