The Ministry of Education announced the selected projects in the first batch of the Emerging Engineering Research and Practice program. Tianjin University had nine projects on the list, ranking first among all Chinese universities.

On March 24, the final of the 9th China Mathematical Competition was held at Xi’an Jiaotong University. The Tianjin University team led by Zhang Yuqin, a School of Mathematics teacher, achieved great success in the competition. All of the eight members achieved good results.
Nine “emerging engineering” research and practice programs from Tianjin University were selected in the first batch of “emerging engineering” programs by the Ministry of Education, outnumbering the number of selected programs from other domestic universities.
