The total number of new students enrolled this year was 12,030, with 11,625 of those students or 97% registering online.
Through the online registration system, first-year students can login to the system at home and complete the procedures including registration, dormitory selection, campus network access, complete online payment, and generate registration forms, thus free from waiting in line to move in. On registration day, all that the first-year students need to do is to take the registration form to the greeting site to get their dormitory keys and campus One-Card.
The Smart Registration System also covers the payment information, Green Passage application and other functions that are related to freshmen. It also provides information service such as ‘class inquiry’, ‘roommate inquiry’, ‘fellow townsman inquiry’ and ‘questionnaire survey’.
Wang, a new student born after 2000, said: “The smart enrollment process and convenient service saves time and effort. So, I had more time to visit the campus and enjoy my new campus life on my first day.”
This year, 12,030 first-year students were provided with direct access to the campus network, and one-stop online services including E-mail registration and VPN activation. The students no longer have to go to the information and network center for certification and activation, and really embrace a ‘fingertip life’.
