WorldCare and Tianjin University to Deepen Cooperation

On June 5, 2018, a delegation from WorldCare, led by Andrew Parkes, the Global Medical Director of WorldCare, visited Tianjin University to promote further cooperation in the medical and health fields.

Ni Guangjian, Assistant to the Dean of the Research Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Translational Medicine, updated the guests on the development of the medical discipline at Tianjin University. He said that medicine disciplinary development at Tianjin University is based on the concepts of ‘medical traction, engineering support, transformation and innovation and clinical demonstration’. Tianjin University has integrated a range of resources to build a ‘medicine-teaching-research’ integrated platform, and explored ways to be a reform pilot in disciplinary integration and innovation of “medicine +”. He hoped that with WorldCare's strengths in the platform of healthcare and combined with the scientific and research strengths of Tianjin University and Cambridge University in neural engineering and rehabilitation engineering, international cooperation and personnel exchange could be further promoted in future.

Andrew Parkes said that WorldCare is committed to improving the world's medical and health standards and helping people obtain authoritative and efficient medical services through timely, efficient, and strategic integration with the world's top medical centers. Currently, WorldCare has established close relations with Harvard University, The Children’s Hospital Boston and other institutions. As Tianjin University has distinctive strengths in research in the field of health care, he hoped that the two sides will establish a long-term mechanism for regular exchange and in-depth cooperation in the establishment of international joint laboratories, international joint forums and joint development of medical and health products for clinical applications.
