Welcome to Tianjin University! In order to better embark on your new life ahead, please read the following notices regarding new-student registration.

Airport Pickup

Tianjin University has prepared free airport pick-up service for all new international students at the Tianjin Binhai International Airport. For individual who arrives at other airports, please arrange own transportation to the university for check-in and registration.

Registration

Time for Registration

The arrangement for registration for new international students of Weijin Road Campus:

Date: 2nd Sep. to 3rd Sep.

Time: 8:30 - 12:00, 13:00 - 16:30

Venue: Hall,Liuyuan, Weijin Road Campus, Tianjin University

The arrangement for registration for new international students of Peiyangyuan Campus:

Date: 4th Sep.

Time: 8:30 - 12:00, 13:00 - 16:30

Venue: Second Floor ofBlock A, Liuyuan, Peiyang Park Campus, Tianjin University

Documents Needed

Please get the documents prepared before check-in:

1. Registration Card (Obtain from the welcome station);

2. Original and photocopy of valid Passport and Visa (X1 or X2);

3. Electronic Admission Letter;

4. Electronic “Visa Application Form for Study in China” (Form JW201 or Form JW202);

5. Original and photocopy of highest degree certificate (Note: For new doctoral students, both bachelor’s and master’s degree certificates must be verified. Graduates from Chinese universities shall present your graduation certificate and degree certificate for verification. For new undergraduate students, the original high school graduation certificate shall be verified. Certificates issued in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized Chinese and English translation.);

6. 10 passport size photos;

7. Original copy of “Foreigners Physical Examination Report” and blood test report (for students who plan to study in China for a period of more than 6 months);

8. Except for new students awarded CSC, CIS and MOF scholarships,  new students with other types of scholarships or self-funded new students shall complete online payment of registration fee, tuition fees, medical insurance fee and other required fees before arriving in China, and keep the payment receipts ready for registration.

Notes for Registration

1. Except for new students receiving CSC, CIS or MOF scholarships, those with other types of scholarships or self-funded students must submit the tuition payment certificate at registration. Failure to settle tuition will prevent completion of the registration process.

2. If you are unable to attend the centralized check-in and registration on 2nd Sep. to 4th Sep. for personal reasons, you must complete the procedures in person at Office 401, International Education School Building, Weijin Road Campus, Tianjin University.

3. Students who cannot register on time must send an explanatory email to the Student Affairs Office of the International Education School of Tianjin University with a copy to the Admissions Office two weeks in advance. Failure to register on time without valid justification for more than two weeks will be regarded as a waiver of admission.
