Watercolor Paintings Depict a Vibrant Tianjin

The Impressions of Tianjin Ye Wu Watercolor Art Exhibition has recently kicked off, with guests from all walks of life gathering to attend the opening ceremony. Ye Wu, a professor from the School of Architecture at Tianjin University, has infused his profound affection, delicate observations and unique insights into the city of Tianjin into every brushstroke. The exhibition features more than 50 watercolor works themed on architecture and landscapes. These artworks span time and scenery, covering time-honored historic buildings, rapidly evolving urban landmarks, distinctive bridges along the Haihe River, and the everyday warmth and poetic beauty of Tianjin across four seasons.

Centered on the theme of Impressions of Tianjin, this exhibition presents a fine collection of watercolor creations rooted in local Tianjin culture. For visitors, these paintings are far more than artistic works; they vividly showcase the city's past and present. With unrestrained and elegant brushwork and color application, Ye Wu's works embody exquisite aesthetic connotations and integrate Eastern and Western artistic charm unique to watercolor painting. Overseas Chinese visitors remarked, "We hold deep love for this place where we grew up. This exhibition beautifully promotes cultural exchange and integration, using watercolor to capture the new Tianjin and narrate the story of its development."

Dedicated to advancing aesthetic education and public cultural initiatives, Ye Wu has authored or edited 20 monographs and higher education textbooks. His work has been covered across multiple mainstream media platforms, exerting a widespread positive influence.
