Best Paper Runner-Up Award Secured at Top International Conference in Artificial Intelligence

A research paper titled "TemporalExpertNet: Cross-Temporal Knowledge Reuse for Promotion-Aware CVR Prediction" won the Best Paper Runner-Up award at WSDM 2026 (ACM International Conference on Web Search and Data Mining).

WSDM 2026 was held in Boise, Idaho, USA. It is widely recognized as one of the top international academic conferences in data mining.

This achievement was accomplished by a 2025 undergraduate graduate of CoME Wang Minmao under the guidance of Dr. Wu Likang and Dr. Zhao Hongke from the Department of Information Management at the College of Management and Economics (CoME), during his studies at Tianjin University and his internship at Kuaishou, with validation conducted in real-world industrial data scenarios. Prior to this, the student won the runner-up prize in the ICML 2024 Automated Mathematical Reasoning Competition under the guidance of Dr. Zhao Hongke in 2024.

The review process for this year's WSDM conference was rigorous. The main conference received a total of 613 submissions globally, with only 100 ultimately accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 16.3%. Only one Best Paper and one Best Paper Runner-Up were selected.

WSDM is internationally recognized as one of the top academic conferences in the fields of web search and data mining, consistently focusing on cutting-edge directions in artificial intelligence-driven information retrieval, data mining, recommendation systems, and online advertising. WSDM 2026, the 19th edition of the conference, was held in Boise, Idaho, USA.
