Tianjin University Holds Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship Donation Ceremony

On March 31, the Donation Ceremony for the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship was held at the School of International Education, Tianjin University. Li Haiping, Chairman and President of Rianlon Corporation, Sun Chunguang, Vice President, Sima Lifeng, Assistant to the President and Director of Human Resources, and Zhang Limin, Secretary of the President, attended the ceremony. Representing Tianjin University were Zhang Peng, Chief Accountant, Director of the Finance Office and Chairman of the Peiyang Education Development Foundation, Li Qiang, Dean of the School of International Education, Tang Fen, Deputy Director of the Alumni and Foundation Affairs Office, Director and Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Peiyang Education Development Foundation, Du Xiuping, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, and Yang Xiaorui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of International Education. The ceremony was presided over by Yang Xiaorui.

At the ceremony, Li Haiping announced a donation of 900,000 RMB to his alma mater to establish the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship, which is specially used to support the talent cultivation of the School of International Education.

On behalf of the university, Zhang Peng extended his sincere gratitude and highest respect to Rianlon Corporation for its dedication to education and generous donation. Zhang Peng pointed out that as the birthplace of modern higher education in China, Tianjin University has adhered to the school motto of “Seeking Truth from Facts” and has remarkable achievements in international cooperation and exchanges. The establishment of the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship not only represents high recognition of the university's international talent cultivation, but also strong support for educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Malaysia, fully demonstrating the enterprise's sense of social responsibility and international vision.

Li Haiping delivered a speech themed Strategic Determination and Transformation in Adversity. He elaborated on the synchronized development of the company and China's economy, future global development trends, and the construction of the company's Malaysian subsidiary. Li Haiping stated that the special establishment of the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship is a concrete action for Rianlon to give back to society and support the development of international students' education in China. He hoped to motivate Malaysian students to study diligently, pursue academic excellence, grow into outstanding talents with professional competence, international vision and cross-cultural communication skills, and contribute to the friendly exchanges and industrial development between China and Malaysia.

Subsequently, the grand donation ceremony for the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship was held. Tang Fen and Sun Chunguang signed the donation agreement on behalf of the university and the enterprise respectively, with Zhang Peng and Li Haiping as witnesses. Li Haiping presented the donation on behalf of the company. Li Qiang accepted the donation and presented a souvenir to Li Haiping in return.

The establishment of the Tianjin University Malaysian Students Rianlon Scholarship is a vivid practice to help build a China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
