The Vice President of the University of Reading visited Tianjin University

On March 25, a delegation led by Professor Caroline Baylon, Vice President of the University of Reading, visited Tianjin University. Vice President Ming Dong met with the guests at the Conference Building on the Weijin Road Campus. The two sides held in-depth discussions on further strengthening inter-university cooperation and advancing joint education programs. Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and the College of Management and Economics attended the meeting.

On behalf of Tianjin University, Ming Dong extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that Tianjin University attaches great importance to its partnership with the University of Reading and expressed confidence that the meeting would facilitate the development of the “Tianjin University–University of Reading Henley International College” in Hainan. He added that the two universities are expected to leverage the international college as a platform to deepen collaboration and jointly cultivate high-caliber talents with a global perspective.

Professor Caroline Baylon expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of Tianjin University’s professionalism and meticulous approach in advancing joint education initiatives. She emphasized that the University of Reading greatly values its partnership with Tianjin University and looks forward to the smooth progress of their joint programs, working together toward a mutually beneficial future.

During the visit, the delegation held a working meeting with Vice President Ming Dong, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and the College of Management and Economics, to discuss next steps in advancing their collaboration.
