130 Colorful Chairs Dot the TJU Campus

Have you noticed the new splashes of color brightening up the Tianjin University (TJU) campus? A rainbow of 130 vibrant leisure chairs has recently appeared in the two campuses of Tianjin University.

These chairs, in lively reds, refreshing blues, and vibrant greens, are like scattered pieces of a rainbow. They are practical rest stops for you to take a break, chat with friends, or simply enjoy a moment in the sun.

These 130 chairs are a heartfelt gift from alumnus Wang Guohua and his wife, dedicated to celebrating Tianjin University’s 130th anniversary. The donation includes 130 chairs—a number mirroring the 130 years of TJU’s history.

With these chairs, he hopes to see people gathering for conversations or sitting quietly reading and thinking on TJU campus.

“I thought that such wonderful and cozy campus facilities should also be at our beloved TJU,” he said.

This long-held wish turned into action for the university’s 130th anniversary. Mr. Wang proposed the donation, hoping to create more corners on campus where students can slow down, pause, and enjoy the moment.
