TJU Delegation Visits Malaysia

On September 1-5, a delegation headed by Academician Liu Congqiang, Dean of SESS, visited Universiti Malaya (UM) .

At Universiti Malaya, the delegation visited its Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences (IOES) and the Department of Geology. Discussions were held to explore opportunities for enhanced academic exchange and potential joint degree programs. They also met the SESS students who were taking geological practice in collaboration with the Department of Geology of UM.

The delegation also visited Hong Kong. At the University of Hong Kong, the delegation signed a cooperation agreement with its Institute of Climate and Carbon Neutrality.

The delegation members also included Prof. Wang Tiejun, Deputy Director of the Bohai Rim National CZO; Prof. Zhu Jialei, Head of the Department of Earth System Science; and Ms. Tang Yang, Director of Student Affairs.
